Foods cooked on the cast iron half-moon plancha (i.e., griddle) are even more flavorful than those cooked on traditional stainless steel grates. Its heat retention and transfer properties are excellent, allowing for extremely even, intense cooking. Thanks to its half-moon shape, it is also excellent for two-zone grilling. One side is completely smooth, while the other side has parallel grill ridges.
