Get to know the SunCity BBQ competition team!
I am Iván Nagy, leader of the SunCity BBQ competition team. I have been involved with BBQ as a cooking technique since 2014 and started competing actively in 2017. I am a certified pitmaster and judge of the world's largest BBQ organization, the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) based in the USA. I have proven myself multiple times in domestic and international competitions held under the auspices of this organization, winning the title of 'Best Hungarian Competition Team' in both 2018 and 2019! Since 2019, I have been competing alongside Péter Tamási and my wife, Margit Kurunczi. During that season, we began using our own custom-developed spice rubs in competitions and achieved 4th place on the KCBS European Team of the Year rankings. Our goal is to introduce quality BBQ as a cooking technique to the widest possible audience in Hungary and to represent our country at the highest level in international competitions. By using our high-quality spice blends, we elevate our customers' flavor experience in grilling, BBQ, and general cooking alike. Let's spice up every moment!
